The albums are retrospectives with a total of 64 songs. They span the years from 1979 to 2011.  You can hear low bit rate samples of all the songs. The albums were professionally recorded at Blank Tape Studios from March 2005 through to February 2013. I only went in for a day or two but, as ideas for arrangements and offers to play along flowed, the project took on a life of its own. I’m very grateful to Tom Chester, my son Michael, Judy Dunlop, Paul Britland, Steve Swallow, Jim Clarke, Richard Chappell, Ruth Angell, Tim Cole, Julian Cole, Graham Hall, Phil Tebbutt, Jo Veal and Dave Westbrook  for the free use of their musical talents. I’m grateful also to my wife, PB, and my elder son, Tim for their graphic design.

The albums are available through the site via Paypal, by iTunes, Amazon and other providers or by emailing Dave directly.

The Tracks You Leave Behind

A First Retrospective; Songs from 1979 - 2002.  These songs were recorded to mark David's 50th birthday. Originally intended for acoustic guitar and voice, gradually they were supplemented by occassional additional guitar, violin, mandolin, mandola, whistle, harmonica, drum and backing vocals. The result is a delicate mix of songs of love and longing, loneliness and belonging, faith and redemption, life and death, and memory and indentity.
